NOW IN PRODUCTION. The 2007 Melges MC Scow is a true Melges Performance Sailboats original. With the newest feature being an awesome black spar, this boat is super fast and lots of fun! OVERALL PERFORMANCE. Whether you want to race your MC Scow or just simply enjoy the boat it is very responsive and stable! It delivers the best of both worlds. With a large powerful sail, this boat is loads of fun for one or two crew and built with the exclusive M-Preg building system which creates a stiffer hull, thus increasing the quality of the laminate. RIGGED TO PERFECTION. The new rigging systems installed are improved, especially with the use of spectron line and Marlow XL Pro Line. The vang has awesome fingertip control and the outhaul pulls on and eases off smooth. Very smooth. STEP IT UP. Melges' new mast step design is a nice improvement. With all new boats you can step the mast by yourself. No need to have anyone hold the base of the mast for you. Walk it up, hook up your forestay and you are done! PLAN TO ATTEND MORE UPCOMING MC SCOW REGATTAS!
As one of the most active classes of sailboats in the USA, the 2006-2007 MC Scow regatta schedule is full of incredible, fun events across the country. Melges Performance Sailboats has already been actively promoting the MC Scow at many of these regattas including the 2006 National Championship on October 26-29 at Lake Norman Yacht Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. To roll this event in right, Melges will be holding a championship edition of Zenda University just prior! A release will be made shortly so stay tuned to MCSCOW.ORG and MELGES.COM as there will only be room for 20 boats! That's right only 20 boats will be able to participate so standby for more information as this will be forthcoming shortly.
