MIKE CARROLL IS CROWNED
2006 MELGES 32 CHICAGO NOOD CHAMPION

CONGRATULATIONS. Once again it was Mike Carroll and an awesome New Wave crew on top of the fleet, winning their third M32 title in 2006. It is no doubt that Carroll, with Marty Kullman at the helm are an exceptional team and expected to do well at the M32 Nationals. Over the course of eight races Kullman drove to victory, but he was not unchallenged. Jeff Ecklund and a very strong STAR team reminded Kullman on a regular basis that they too had a chance at the title. Both with steady results, Kullman's consistent string of bullets in races 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6, he sealed the deal four points ahead of Ecklund. New owner Wallace Tsuha rounded out the top three four points behind Ecklund, trailed by Chicago local favorite, Chris Thomas.

A special thanks goes out to all the competitors who traveled great distances to compete, the famous Chicago Yacht Club for the warm hospitality and to the race committee who did a superb job on and off the water!
