CONGRATULATIONS to John Porter and his
Full Throttle crew as they are the 2006 Melges 32 Miami Race Week Champions! Porter jumped on his brand new M32 and dominated the hot, South Beach, Miami racing scene winning by just one very slim point! The conditions were perfect on land and water - the best downwind surfing and the closest racing seen yet at this first-class venue. Rick Orchard on
Grins right behind pulling off yet another spectacular performance landing second place and, in third was Mike Carroll with Marty Kullman at the helm of
New Wave. Jeff Ecklund finished fourth, Jonathan Money was fifth and Joe Woods was sixth.
This event was top notch thanks to the Premiere Racing Organization, but most of all, to all the owners and competitors that traveled great distances to experience the power of the Melges 32 as well as enjoy the gorgeous Miami weather! Check out the
