PUMP UP THE VOLUME.
The next stop on an incredible line-up of events is the 2006 Melges 17 Spring Championship at the legendary Lake Geneva Yacht Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on May 13-14. This event is set to be big. Of course, the excitement continues to mount as we get closer and closer to the Melges 17 Regatta in Crystal Lake, Michigan on June 24-25, the Western Michigan Yachting Association in Muskegon on August 2-5 then onward to the M17 Nationals coming this Fall, September 24-25.

KIRK AND IAN DONALDSON WIN THE 2006 CHARLESTON EASTER REGATTA
CONGRATULATIONS! Kirk and Ian Donaldson, from little Whitmore Lake in Northern Michigan traveled all the way to the simply southern city of Charleston, South Carolina for the 2006 Easter Regatta. Although quite prepared and well practiced, little did they think they would win the title. But they did, and they did it in style. In a fleet of ten total and the presence of some of the most intense competition, let alone heavy air in excess of 20 knots and higher gusts, they maintained an even strain as they scored consistently throughout the two-day affair.
Others teams that did very, very well were Kevin Ward and Dave Wall placing second overall, Blaine Unicume and Sam Rogers in third and the husband-and-wife team of Bill and Angie Wiggins was fourth. Read the full report at MELGES17.COM.

The 2006 racing calendar is steady filling as more and more events are added regularly. In addition, Melges Performance Sailboats is taking reservations as slots - only seven are available on the 2007 Melges Zenda Express Trailer for the upcoming Midwinter Championship, and then onward to the 2007 Charleston Easter Regatta! Guaranteed the fleets will be bigger, more fun, faster and the competition will be the absolute best. The Midwinters will be held at the Lake Eustis Sailing Club in Lake Eustis, Florida on March 9-11 and then later in April, the Easter Regatta.
