For 2006, the Melges 17 regatta schedule shifts into high gear with
a event line-up that is awesome. It all starts this coming February
in Florida at the ultimate of venues Lake Eustis as Martin
Zonnenberg and his number one famous sailing club will host the
the 2006 M17 Midwinter Championship. And there's more. The legendary
Easter Regatta in Charleston, South Carolina will follow shortly
thereafter, then its back to the home of the Melges 17 for the Lake
Geneva Spring Championship on beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
With so many events and great fun to be had, how ever will you be

CHAMPIONSHIP
FEBRUARY 18-19.
The very first M17 Midwinter Championship is on! This fantastic
event will get off to a great start on Friday, February
17 with a tuning session, demonstrator sailing and early
registration. Racing commences on Saturday (February 18)
and runs through until Sunday (February 19). Don't miss

MELGES 17 EASTER REGATTA
APRIL
14-15. If the superior racing isn't enough
to entice you to attend this event definitely the southern
hospitality, fine-dining and great night life attractions
of historic Charleston, South Carolina will. Charleston
is an amazing city with deep sailing roots. Pair that with
great friends, experienced race organizers and you have
the makings for an unforgettable regatta delivering unparalleled
competition. Generally, calm morning winds and challenging
currents tease racers as it ushers in the afternoon sea

specifically to these two great regattas. The small fee of $350
will deliver your boat to these events. Once on site, you are
in charge of unloading, rigging and loading, let Melges take care
of the driving.
Simply drop off your boat in Zenda before February 3rd, and come
race in the sunny, warm conditions of the south during the early
spring months. Afterwards, you can retrieve your boat upon its
return and head onward to the Spring Championship. This is a terrific
way to get in on all the action in a really easy, convenient and
affordable way.
