2007 MELGES 17 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
IN CRYSTAL LAKE, MICHIGAN
AUGUST 25-26. Get ready for the 2007 Melges 17 National Championship on August 25-26 and hosted by the Crystal Lake Yacht Club in Crystal Lake, Michigan. "For those who have never been to Crystal Lake, I will start by saying you can drink from the lake and see the bottom in 50 feet of water. With a sixteen square mile sailing area, deep waters, white "sugar sand" beaches and big lake thermals (we almost always have lots of wind), Crystal Lake is as close to a perfect inland lake as you will find," commented '07 National Championship Regatta Organizer and Melges 17 racer extraordinaire Bob Wynkoop. "For those doing their planning early, the nearest towns are Frankfort and Beulah and the closest commercial airport is Traverse City, Michigan."
As more information becomes available, it will be posted accordingly on MELGES17.COM. To view pictures of beautiful Crystal Lake, visit the club online at CLYC.NET.
